Task

You are a field researcher observing a population of Heffalumps pictured here!

Most Heffalumps are green, but some Heffalumps are grey like this one! These Heffalumps live in the forest where there are lots of leafy green trees for them to hide in from their predators. However, a disease is spreading throughout the leafy green trees and turning them all grey! Your job is to determine whether or not the population of Heffalumps can survive this environmental change. Click through the pages under the "process" tab to gather clues. First, look at the infographic to answer question 1 on your worksheet, but then you do not have to click through the process pages in any particular order. Fill out the worksheet, and turn it in to Ms. Clemens when you are finished.

Good luck, scientists, and good luck, Heffalumps!
